Additionally, Taiste will be performing at the 2024 Music is Art Festival at Buffalo’s Outer Harbor.
I am an audio engineer who specializes in live-sound and live-recording.
I am an associate engineer at Mark Studios. Based out of Clarence, NY, Mark Studios provides a variety of audio services – including on-site recordings – to a vast collective of clientele from across the United States and throughout the world. With Mark, I’ve gotten the opportunity to travel to many of the largest music education conferences in the world as a recording engineer; such events have included the 2021 Midwest Clinic in Chicago, the 2022 FMEA Convention in Tampa, and the 2022 TMEA Convention in San Antonio, TX. Additionally, during the spring of 2022, I flew out to Santa Fe (New Mexico!) to record many of the nations’ most prominent community-led wind ensembles at the Association of Concert Bands (ACB) 2022 Convention.
As a live-sound engineer in the Buffalo, NY region, Jake is extremely proficient in a multitude of styles, including rock, jazz, gypsy jazz, funk, R&B, hip-hop, singer/songwriter, classical, bluegrass, country, Americana, metal, pop and more. He has engineered for a multitude of Buffalo-based acts including the Gavin Petrie Band, Rabbit Jaw, Heart’s Don’t Lie, Jay/Sharptet and the Hot Club of Buffalo.
On May 2, 2020, Jake graduated from Capital University, earning a Bachelor of Music Degree in Music Technology. He studied jazz/contemporary guitar in the Capital University Conservatory of Music; a very intensive music program with a sharp focus on musical performance, ear-training and music theory.
